Overview

The practice runs a hire at a Japanese company's Indian subsidiary as one sequence, from the job description to the offer and the joining formalities. The firm's own recruitment specialists find and assess the candidates, and each step is explained to head office in Japanese.

What we do

Understanding the role

The search begins only once the role is agreed, because every later decision is measured against it.

  • Understanding the job requirement: the role's purpose and reporting line
  • Agreeing what the role needs, with head office where the decision rests
  • The experience, qualifications and languages needed, set down before the search
  • Finalising the job description, agreed with you before any candidate is approached

Finding candidates

The search works from the agreed job description and is carried out by the firm's own recruitment specialists.

  • Identifying suitable candidates against the job description and the requirement behind it
  • The search run by two recruitment specialists with MBAs in HR
  • The role presented to candidates as the job description sets it out
  • Progress on the search reported to head office by the Japan desk

Assessing candidates

The firm screens and evaluates candidates before interviews are arranged with you, so your interviewers' time goes to people already assessed.

  • Screening each candidate against the agreed job description and requirement
  • Evaluation by the firm's recruitment specialists before anyone is put forward
  • Each shortlisted candidate explained to head office in Japanese
  • Interview coordination with you, in Japanese or English

Offer and onboarding

Once you have chosen, the firm stays with the hire until the candidate's first day.

  • Selection support as you decide between the candidates you have interviewed
  • Offer support, with the terms explained to head office in Japanese
  • Documentation and background verification before the candidate joins
  • Onboarding support, up to and including the candidate's first day
